From the depths of space, a silver starship decelerates from hyperspace. Its occupier, Darth Decivus, takes in the gigantic form of the world Yavin. He turns his gaze to his destination, the forest moon Yavin IV. To avoid detection, Decivus activates the ship's stealth systems; sinking the heat signatures of the engines and making the ship's surface all but invisible.

Decivus pilots the Silent Dagger into the atmosphere of Yavin IV; he observes the forestry and follows the beacon provided by the Dark Lord's data. In the distance, Decivus sees the temple.

The Sith finds a large clearing, and brings the ship down for landing. He switches off all nonessential systems, but keeps several stealth systems operating. He lowers the loading ramp, and descends. The sounds of the wildlife are the first of the forest to greet the Sith. Though purified through his mask, Decivus finds the air to be refreshing. He takes his first steps on the grassy clearing, and looks around. Immersing himself in the Force, Decivus reaches out with his senses. For now, it doesn't seem as though he is detected, and he intends to keep it that way.

Ensuring that his lightsaber is clipped to his hipbelt, Darth Decivus starts walking towards the treeline, intending to collect what he had come here for.

Unimpeded, Darth Decivus ventures through the forest. Using subtle gestures, the Sith moves branches and parts tall grass blocking his path. Creatures howl and chirp all around him, but so far, none seem to show interest in the visitor. After half a standard hour, the Sith Lord finally passes the treeline bordering the Massassi Temple. Darth Decivus sets his gaze upon the structure, reveling in the Dark Side energies pulsing from it. Naga Sadow and his legacy may have been buried on Korriban, but it is here that the old Dark Lord was forced to flee to. Centuries passed since Sadow's time, but his mark on this place is still ever present and clear. Even if there were Jedi on this moon, it is unlikely that they would sense him because of this place. ...Now, if any were inside the temple, he could kill them and dispose of their body, and no one would be the wiser. The Jedi would likely chalk it up to the temple being dangerous in the first place.

Though, the Sith found himself wondering; whatever happened to the Massassi warriors themselves? He could not sense anything to suggest that they still yet live; but he is hopeful. Finding the Massassi and returning them to the servitude of the Sith would gain him even more prestige in their resurgent Empire.

Decivus shakes his head; there is no use in hoping for such things. He had a single mission, and he needed to complete it. Obtain the Holocron of Force Scream, and return to Dromund Kaas. The Emperor even suggested that he learn the skill; a prospect he had little interest in before, but if the Emperor sought it, then the power must be worth learning. After all, he had done some research on the way to the Yavin system, and found out that, in a few rare occasions, the skill was able to kill enemies, overload war droids, and even destroy starfighters. A handy skill to be sure.

Unflinching, Darth Decivus approaches the Massassi Temple, brushing his lightsaber with his fingertips, anticipating, but not expecting, some form of resistance. He would know soon enough as he nears the Temple entrance.

Darth Decivus walks up the stone steps, and stops before the stone doorway, still sealed by an enormous slab. Darth Decivus runs a hand across the slab's surface. Delving into the Force, Decivus focuses on the slab. The air is filled with the sound of grinding stone as the slab pushes back, and slides upwards into the structure. The Sith steps through the now open doorway, moving quickly. Corridor after corridor, room after room, Darth Decivus searches the temple. Hours later, he still encounters no signs of the Massassi themselves, yet he could sense.... something.
Eventually, the Sith Lord finds himself in the uppermost chamber. On the far wall is what appears to be a console; and resting in the center of the room is a large stone container sitting upon a platform. Darth Decivus approaches the platform, and observes the container. Neither seeing nor sensing any traps, Darth Decivus opens the container. He reaches in, and pulls out his prize, a small glass device; a holocron. Carefully, Decivus places the device in a small plasteel container he had brought along. He turns to leave, when a small pulse emits from the console on the far wall. He stops, and turns to look at it. Cautious, Darth Decivus approaches the console.

Various glyphs from a forgotten era scrolled across the screen of the console as the Sith approached. A language so old that it predated the ancient Sith. Over and over the same series of glyphs spread across the screen. The audio button on the console flashed, yet no sound came from the console aside from some various beeping.

As the Sith approached the console, the area below him came alive. Shadows became physical beings and roamed the large passage. Two large Tarentateks, green and monsturous in every way, came to be. Whispers in the Force shifted like a breeze through the temple. An intruder had disrupted the long era of sleep. Was this intruder worthy?

Darth Decivus' eyes widen slightly as the terminal seems to come to life. He brushes eons of dust off the console screen and observes the letterings, but finds himself at a loss as he tries to decipher the language. Perhaps he had stumbled across the Dark Lord's true interest? Or was this coincidence? Sensing the shift in the Force, the Sith whirls around in time to witness the two Terantateks enter the chamber.

Immediately, Decivus detaches his weapon from his belt and activates it. Both ends of the long hilt emit a deep SNAP-HISS, and red pillars of energy erupt from the blade emitters, bathing the dark room in a crimson glow. He recalls his lessons; remembering that Terantateks are immune to most Force abilities, and their tough hides protect them from most conventional weapons. Even lightsabers, though able to pierce them, were not a sure way to kill the beasts. Fighting one was considered a challenge, even to Sith Lords; two would surely bring glory!

Decivus smirks under his mask, and draws on the Force; augmenting his reflexes and strength. This temple is awash in the Dark Side, further empowering the Sith. But his first action is not to attack the Terantateks; instead, the Sith searches for the beasts' primitive minds. Intending, but not expecting to succeed, Darth Decivus attempts to control the beasts; trying to make the beasts consider him too great a threat to oppose.

The console continued to beep. The audio button, shown with a symbol that looked like a tiny speaker, flashed. Over and over the archaic glyphs spread across the screen. The console only knew two things: what was stored within it, and that there was a being in the chamber after so many eons of silence. If computers had feelings, this once could only be described as excited.

The tarentateks, both a staggering three meters tall with dark green hides and black spines, approached slowly. They growled as the Sith ignited his lightsaber. Whispers in the Force swirled around them. A single word for the tarentateks to process: Challenger. They approached, gaining speed with every step. Even as the Sith tried to enter their minds, the beasts approached. The Force was strong with this temple, stronger than any single Force user. crimson energy appeared as if it were trails of smoke coming from the tarentateks bodies, showing the Sith that these beasts would not be felled so easily.

In moments, the tarentateks roared and finally charged. For clumsy beings, they moved fast, and they cleared the distance in a matter of seconds. As they neared the Sith, they outstretched their in-board arms together toward the Sith. It had been an era or two since the tarentateks had tasted flesh; they were hungry.

Darth Decivus' lip curls as the beasts show no signs of his attempt to cull their hostility. Instead, the Terantateks charge, and a strange reddish fog trails after them. The Sith draws on the Force, and thrusts his arms forward, aiming a powerful push at the beasts' feet, intending to trip them. Immediately, Decivus leaps forward, somersaulting over the beasts and landing behind them. He spins on his left heel, and hurls his dual-bladed lightsaber at the Terantateks' heels, intending to sever their ligaments and drastically hinder their movements. The blade veers fast to the left, and arcs in a semi-circle towards the beasts' legs, spinning so rapidly the blades almost form a full circle, fully under the young Sith's control with the Force.

The tarentateks were slowed down by the Force push, but not halted. They even spun in time with the Sith's somersault over them. They began to advance, side by side toward the Sith. They weren't smart enough to predict movements, but they weren't at all worried when the Sith released his lightsaber and sent it flying in a semi-circle. In fact, as it neared the first tarentatek's left leg, the beast swung it's massive claw upward. Due to the speed at which the lightsaber was spinning, the attack bore fruit in the form of severing two of the tarentatek's three claws. The lightsaber itself however spun wildly out of control and away from from the tarentateks, landing somewhere in the corner of the room.

Using the opportunity of unarmed prey, the second tarentatek charged the Sith, grabbing at him with both hands. The first beast roared from its anger and pain from losing two claws, and followed shortly after, waiting for the Sith to react before actually attacking.

His attack hadn't gone exactly as planned, but he had at least wounded one of the beasts. Decivus jumps back a few meters as the closer Terantatek attempts to grab him. At least he had the superiority of speed, the Sith thinks to himself. He could try Force Lightning, but it would most likely be more distracting to the beasts than harmful. Deciding quickly, Decivus runs at the Terantateks. Once within a mere meter from the closer, the Sith bursts into action. Augmenting his reflexes and agility with Force Speed, the Sith dashes around the Terantatek, and rushes at the injured one. Taking one aimed leap, Darth Decivus leaps towards the beast, calling his lightsaber back into his open palm. It ignites immediately once back in his grasp; and Decivus lands deftly on the injured Terantatek's back. He thrusts the backward blade upwards, intending to pierce under the beast's plated hide and into its brain.

As fast as he can, he pushes the blade forward, and retracts as he jumps into a backwards somersault off the Terantatek's back whether the attack was successful or not. He back-peddles several steps and assesses the situation.

Having the Sith bypass it with relative ease, the forward tarentatek roared it's frustration and began turning around. The large beast was built for power and endurance, not for speed and agility, so the turning process took longer than anyone would ever want. By the time it finally got turned around and started advancing on the Sith once again, it's fellow tarentatek had fallen prey to the Sith's agility as well. The second tarentatek roared as the Sith landed on its back. The roar turning into somewhat of a howl as the Sith plunged his lightsaber into the beast. Its hide was lightsaber resistant, but stabbing counter-acted such things. As the Sith leapt off, the injured tarentatek whimpered and howled one last time before falling to the floor.

The first tarentatek had no emotional response to its comrad being killed. It's beast like nature fully supported survival of the fittest. With a roar, it charged the Sith, blood-lust and hunger building like flames in its eyes.

The young Sith had little time to bask in the glory of his kill, as the other Terantatek continued it's savage attempt to eat him. Grinning under his mask, the Sith darts back several more meters, keeping just enough distance between himself and the massive predator. He has the advantage of speed, and the Force. He stops only when his back is pressed against the stone wall. He waits for the beast to get within three meters, and thrusts his left hand forward, unleashing a stream of Force Lightning from his fingertips, aiming at the Terantatek's beady little eyes. He knows all too well that the blast was not going to harm the beast; but the sudden flash should at least blind the beast. The moment the bolts hit the Terantatek in the face, Darth Decivus leaps forward, rolling fast up underneath the beast's torso.

With all his strength, augmented with the Force, Darth Decivus stabs his lightsaber straight up into the bottom of the creature's gaping maw, intending to drive the blade all the way into the creature's skull to kill it.

The lightning came at the beast and connected. Though not hurting the beast in the slightest, the bright arcs of light made it almost impossible to see. The tarentatek stopped and thrashed wildly. Then the sound of searing flesh echoed through the chamber and the beast found a lightsaber blade lodged up through its skull. With a groan of discomfort, the beast fell. It's eyes were still semi-blinded from the lightning as they began to close. Both fallen tarentateks seemed to emit crimson steam that flowed out of the chamber in a stream. The Sith had killed two tarentateks, and the guardian of the temple was angry.

Darth Decivus takes several steps back to avoid be toppled onto by the Terantatek. He considers taking trophies from the Terantatek carcasses; but before he approaches the fresh kill, the red mist that had been trailing the beasts seems to detach itself from them, escaping the chamber. He watches curiously as the substance disappears. He looks back at the Terantateks, and suddenly feels a pulse in the Force. Something is very displeased with the turn of events.

But the Sith Lord gave little heed to the anger, and instead basked in it; offering a light chuckle. Defiantly, the Sith turns back to the console; he would somehow find out what the ancient device held in its memory banks, and is certain that he can handle whatever else the Temple decided to throw at him.

The console beeped and continued showing various glyphs from forgotten languages. There was a flashing button on the console as the screen furiously ran through the glyphs and beeped. An upside down triangle flashed on the bottom of the screen toward a datapad receptacle. The screen displayed the same glyphs, over and over, meaning it was repeating itself with every second that the Sith wasn't on the console.

Darth Decivus walks up to the console, and watches the languages and glyphs scroll across the ancient screen. He notices the lit triangle, and recognizes, or thinks he recognizes, a port for a datapad. Curious, the young Sith produces the datapad, and slides it into the slot, ensuring the connection ports went in, and he awaits a reaction.

As soon as the datapad clicks into the place the console lights up with various beeps and symbols flying across the screen. To the Sith it may seem like the console is breaking down or malfunctioning. The console was actually scanning the datapad for the Sith's language. Upon finding the language called "Galactic Basic," the console downloaded the majority of it and began translating itself to it. The words came up on the screen just as before, but this time in galactic basic. Amazingly enough the symbols on the keys of the console translated as well, allowing the Sith to type.

Darth Decivus watches the machine work, but grows irritated at the sounds he thought mean't the console was malfunctioning. He hopes that the ancient device doesn't ruin the datapad; no doubt returning it broken to the Dark Lord would just look stupid on his part. But his concern is unwarrented, as the Sith watches the language on the screen begin decoding into Basic. He wipes excess dust off the console, and starts typing.

The console chirped three times as dots formed on the screen. It was processing the command. Once it was done translating the input, it coupled it with commands that it would know. It accessed it's memory core and within a second, had the latest record. Instead of a holo image displaying, the screen lit up and showed a Rakatan. The alien seemed to be staring at the screen of the console.

Suddenly the creature opened it's mouth and a forgotten language was played audibly. The console didn't have the functionality to change audio, but it could translate most words into basic for this new language speaking user. The translated words showed on the bottom of the screen as the old recording played.

::Contact... lost... changing... forest world... Furry creatures couldn't... know.., Unable... location... Starforge::

With that the console screen goes back to displaying a command prompt. The last record had been recorded to the datapad for the user automatically.

Decivus waits for the console, and it soon reacts to his inputted command. His brow furrows in thought, processing what he had just read, and the being he just saw. The screen returns to its previous state, scrolling words. Contact lost... changing a forest world? And something about furry natives not knowing something, or unable to do something? The last bit was much easier to piece together, assuming there wasn't entire paragraphs lost between the words in static. Whatever they were saying, they lost the location of something called the Starforge... Was this a code name for something, perhaps?

Curious, Decivus types in a new command.

The console beeped and whistled as it processed the new command. It retrieved the data associated with the Starforge but couldn't translate all the words into Galactic Basic. What it could translate appeared on the screen. There were no images for the Starforge.

::Starforge... big... war... Fueled by... Force... Power... Infinite Empire...::
