Lindsey was born into a poverty ravaged family in the slums of Coruscant. Her parents, though very loving, weren’t the brightest being in the galaxy, and couldn’t hold on to any job for more than fifty rotations. Her very first memories were of begging to strangers for credits and food. When she would beg with her parents nearby, people would pass her by without a second glance. When she was alone, however, people took pity on her and made sure that she was at least fed.

Most people expected her to do horrible in public school and end up like her parents. Lindsey, however, had plans. She tried her best at school, making sure to take every after school activity she could to stay away from her shack of a home. At school she didn’t have to beg; she could make something of herself.

If the kids at school didn’t make fun of her for being poor, they made fun of her because she was smart. Friends were a scarce thing for her, but good grades were plenty. Lindsey graduated from school as valedictorian.

University was a breeze for Lindsey. Where kids used to make fun of her, now no one cared. A few boys even hit on her a few times. Living on campus, Lindsey had everything she needed and would continue to get those things as long as she did well. Though she tried to incorporate friends and even more into her life, school work took priority and always would.

Four years later, Lindsey had a degree in journalism, several failed relationships, and a promising career with the holonet. The moment she hit screens across the galaxy with various news stories, she was a star. Almost everyone loved her. The love she received from her fans and viewers only rose over the years until finally she was the number one journalist in the galaxy.
