Vak're had traveled to Taris with Mandalore. He had finally reached the age to begin proving himself. His father being friends with Mandalore had not hurt his standings. Receiving his order Vak're loaded his starship with a package. The coordinates were given to him and he was expected to drop the package off and then return to Taris to begin preparations.

His Star fighter took off and he jumped from Taris's new space station to Champala. Hyper Space always intrigued Vak're. Images of him emerging from Hyper Space to help lead a conquest against an opposing planet. As his starfighter came out of Hyper Space, the images in his head faded as he entered into Champala's orbit. He landed at the space port decked out in his armor. He could feel everyone staring at him as he walked into the delivery station. Pushing his way forward he approached the counter. "I have a diplomatic package for the Supreme Chancellor. It needs to be there as soon as possible. This should cover it." Vak're pushed a credit chip onto the counter. After finishing his mission, he went back to his ship and left the orbit.

Arriving back into Tarisian space, Vak're docked and left his ship. He then grabbed his gear and weapons, heading to the new group. Walking into the group preparing for the mission, Vak're took a seat next to the leader. Mandalore had assigned him to learn on this mission from the leader. Rak're had been a respected leader among the Mandalorians and Vak're was expected to fill his shoes take his place among his clans esteemed ancestors.
"Glad you could join us Vak're, I was just giving the details on our mission to Bandomeer and what our mission is. As a future leader, you should really be on time." The aged Taung warrior chastised Vak're. "Back to the mission. Bandomeer is a mining planet with a small population. They are known primarily for their ionite mines. Our mission, is to land and establish bases there. This planet has been plagued with pirates and other outlaws raiding them of their resources and hard earned possessions. We will establish bases, spread law and order, and collect resources as our reward. Lets make this quick and simple!" Clapping his hands, the Taung ended the meeting. Quickly, all the Mandalorians boarded their ships and prepared for take off. Mandalorians were efficient and disciplined. It took them no time at all to leave the space station.

The expedition to Bandomeer would be comprised of 1 Kandosii Dreadnaughts, 500 Rangers, 20,000 Mandalorian Warriors, and 500 Basilisk War Droids. The small fleet took off and quickly traveled down the Hydian Way to Bandomeer. The small army dropped from the capital ship to the planet surface. Immediately, they began construction on their base. Vak're was assigned to lead a small patrol into the nearest city. With him traveled a Mandallian Giant, a Togorian, a couple Humans, and a Taung. As they entered the city borders, every staired at them. Vak're looked on in disgust at the vagrants living in squalor. Their mission was to help bring order to this planet. There was no established government over this planet. It was primarily filled with miners and outlaws. This would quickly changed under Mandalorian rule.

Unlike Taris, Bandomeer didn't have security or defense forces. All Bandomeer had were ionite miners and a few outlaws. Those miners were split, however, in dealing with the Mandalorians peacefully or forcefully. There were many clique leaders among the miners, and each one had a different point of view. The largest of these cliques sent their leader to talk to the Mandalorian patrol that had entered the city.

The leader of the largest mining clique walked toward the Mandalorians. His hard features were born from the years of mining he had done and continued to do. At his right leg was a blaster pistol, as almost everyone on the planet had, and the clothes he wore were simple brown leathers with colorful embroidery. The leader stopped several meters in front of the Mandalorian patrol.

"Greetings, travelers. You've come a long way with so many people; what brings you to our corner of the galaxy?"

Vak're approached the mining leader, his armor shining under the light from the sun. Giving a small respectful now to the leader, Vak're began. "We have come to bring law to this lawless planet. Mandalore has sent us to end the banditry and corruption to all nearby systems. Our base will be a beacon of order and those who seek to prey on the weak will perish at our hands. You miners are not our enemies. In return for our services, we desire a small portion of the resources harvested from the mines." Vak're handed him the data pad outlining they would collect 5% of all the metals brought from the mines in return for their protection of the planet. "Aren't you tired of losing all your possessions to these outlaws and pirates?"

"Five percent for protection, huh?" the leader of the miners asked hypothetically. He looked over the datapad, nodding at certain areas and furrowing his brow at others. All in all it was a good deal. The miners would get protected and be able to live out their lives peacefully. Having a single Mandalorian base on the planet would just be a small inconvieniance compared to what happened to Taris. At this point, everyone had heard of Taris.

"I have to say, it's not a bad deal. I'll quickly sign this to agree, 'cause if you want to rid the planet of outlaws and villainy than you have your work cut out for you." The leader signed the datapad at the bottom, giving his consent for the Mandalorians to be here and to collect 5% of resources mined. He took out his own datapad and transferred the data to it, so that he'd have a copy, before handing the original back to the Mandalorian.

Needless to say, the outlaws hiding out on the planet weren't too happy.

Vak're inserted the datapad into his arm uploading the agreement back to camp. "Welcome to the Mandalorian Empire. Let us know if anyone tried anything." Vak're gave a slight now to the leader and went back on patrol with his squad.

The Mandalorian base took next to no time at all to build. Vak're's team was assigned to be the first response team to any disturbances. At first most of the bandits had tried keeping their distance from the Mandos. On patrol, Vak're had led his squad to a bandit hideout. They had been tracking them now since they had sacked a mining village. The Togorian in the group was using his sniper title's site to scope out the base. While waiting to hear from his comrade in activity, Vak're began sharpening his blades, waiting to use them against the outlaws. One of the Mandallian Giants was loading and preparing an explosively breach the hideout.

The outlaws and disgruntled miners weren't going to give the Mandalorians the clean war they wanted. IF they wanted Bandomeer, they could have it over their dead bodies! The Mandalorians, moving in armor and with heavy weapons were easy to spot for the outlaws, and a plan was born on their approach. The Mandalorians prepared to breach a hideout, and the outlaws prepared to make the Mandalorians pay for it. After bombs had been set up in the camp, the majority of the outlaws slipped out of the camp and scattered into the mountains. A few stayed, readying their blasters for the battle that was to come.

As the bandits left the hideout, the last few did not pass undetected from the Togorian sniper. Quickly, he picked off the stragglers as the Mandallian Giant fired their rocket into the entrance blowing any defenders away. Vak're and the other Taung took off with their jetpacks leading the charge into the bandits. As he came across their lines, Vak're sank his blades into the neck of a Trandoshan outlaw, nearly severing his head. The young Mandalorians each engaged an outlaw, doing their best to avoid blaster fired. Blood covered the rubble of the entrance as the Mandalorians worked their way through the bandits. Fighting surrounded them. Being separated from the group and the weakest melee fighter, the Togorian was the first to die. He was surrounded by 3 bandits. Two of the bandits were brought down by his axe, but the third bandit was able to jam as small vribdoblade into his neck.

Seeing his comrade fall, Vak're charged the bandit, embedding one of his blades in his gut. He dragged his dying comrade to safety. Taking the medpac from his friends kit, he tried stoping the bleeding. To much blood was lost and the Togorian does with Vak're tried keeping him alive. Once he was confirmed dead, Vak're launched himself back into the fight, landing his blades into any bandits he could. As they cleared the base, Vak're used his whipcord to tie down a lightly injured bandit. "We will have questions you will answer" With that, Vak're knocked him unconscious laying him next to their dead friend. After the fighting was over, the prisoner and the dead Togorian were taken back to base. Vak're was not looking forward to what awaited them when they have their report.

The outlaws took to the wilderness of Bandomeer, setting up randomized ambushes and improvised explosive devices along key routes. They didn't have the power to fight the Mandalorians head on, that was for sure, so insurgent tactics would have to do for now.

Vak're personally carried his Togorian comrade to the Medway so they could make sure he received a proper burial. Afterwards, he took his time to report back. Walking into the commanders quarters, Vak're saluted his superior. "Sir, we have broken up the bandit encampment that has been harrasing nearby residents. Many escaped, but plenty more will feed the beasts of this planet." The older Mandalorian turned from what he was doing. "Good. It is important we uphold our arrangement with the locals. They are now citizens of Mandalore. It's a shame your comrade fell. Vak're, you were reckless and it cost him his life. Just like your father, you learned the hard way." "I am sorry commander. We just wanted to gain honor through combat. It will not happen again under my watch." With that, Vak're turned and left the tent. In his tent, he sat on his cot cleaning the blood from his armor. He was embarrassed his first mission as a leader ended in the death of a friend.

The Commander sent a summons to the leader of the miners. They had much still needing to be discussed. Vak're's prisoner had informed them disgruntled miners had joined the ranks of the bandits. Of they were to help this planet, they needed the locals on their side. Bandomeer was part of the Mandalorian Empire and his honor depended on this mission's success. He had been training Vak're to be a leader, but wished he wasn't so rash at times. More pressing matters currently preoccupied him. On Bandomeer, he was tasked with making sure new recruits from Taris and Mandalore were receiving experience. In his hand, he had a proposition for the Bandomeer leader. It contained an agreement to let Some Mandalorians to settle on the planet and integrate into Bandomeer life. He sat in his chair, without his helmet on, waiting for the Bandomeer leader to meet him.
